How To Setup Yapdesk
- WordPress: install the `Yapdesk Live Chat` plugin, open the Yapdesk plugin page in WordPress admin, and connect with your Yapdesk email and password.
- Any other website: open `Account`, add the website under `Connected Websites`, then copy that website's embed script from the website card.
- Customize each website: open `Chat Settings`, choose the website from `Website To Customize`, then adjust color, launcher text, mobile behavior, and AI context.
- Set availability: use the dashboard sidebar to switch between `Chat Active`, `Message`, and `Chat Off`. This status is shared across your account.
- Reply to visitors: use `Chat` for live conversations and `Tickets` for email follow-ups.
- Upgrade when needed: open `Account` to upgrade to Pro or Pro AI for more websites, agents, branding control, schedules, typing preview, attachments, and AI.
- iPhone app: open `app.yapdesk.com` in Safari, tap Share, choose `Add to Home Screen`, then open the Yapdesk icon and tap `Enable Alerts`.
- Android/Desktop app: open `app.yapdesk.com` in Chrome, open the menu, then choose `Install app` or `Add to Home screen`.
Where to find the embed script
Go to Account -> Connected Websites. Each website card has its own script with the correct Site Public Key already included.
